We’ve got big news. The kind that deserves its own drumroll. KDM Designs has evolved—a fresh name, a new home, and the same fiery passion for creativity. Welcome to Refreshh.
It started with just the two of us, fuelled by coffee and big dreams in a snug Batley office. We didn’t just collaborate with small businesses—we began by shaping emerging brands across various industries, crafting compelling stories and identities that resonated. Our journey didn’t stop there. As our reputation grew, so did the scale of our projects. We transitioned to partnering with larger, established companies, redefining their brand narratives and propelling them to new heights. Our influence reached beyond Yorkshire—all the way to Dubai. Yep, we’ve even sprinkled our design magic on global giants like Dunkin’ Donuts. Not too shabby for a couple of creatives from Batley, right?
With more projects rolling in, our little office started feeling like a game of creative Tetris. We squeezed in five people, with some of the team working remotely—back when working from home was still a novelty. But here’s the truth: we thrive on being together. There’s something magic about sharing a space, bouncing ideas across the room, and feeling that creative spark ignite. Remote working just couldn’t capture that buzz for us. So, we knew it was time. Time to stretch our legs (and imaginations). Time to evolve. Time for a name that screams “creative agency” from the rooftops. We teamed up with a top-notch copywriter, brewed countless cups of inspiration, and conjured up the perfect name. And just like that, Refreshh was born—with an extra ‘h’ for that extra edge.
Leeds City Centre seemed like the obvious choice – a hotspot of creativity with flashy offices. But as we toured those sleek yet soulless spaces—cramped quarters with sky-high rents and zero parking—we felt disconnected. The city just wasn’t us. For the same rent, we thought, why not create that atmosphere here for creatives? Attract them to Batley. We’re Batley born and bred; our roots run deep here. So, we thought, why not build something extraordinary right where we started? We searched Batley for a space that matched our ambition. Easier said than done. Creative hubs aren’t exactly on every corner. But then we found it—a 1,600 square-foot canvas in Batley Business Park, right next door to our old stomping ground. It had potential—ample parking, a separate meeting room, private space, and a big creative area that finally felt like a true agency home. Close to the train station? You bet. Room to let our creativity run wild? Absolutely.
We could’ve handed the reins to an office fitout specialist, but where’s the fun in that? Instead, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Our designers swapped their sketchbooks for toolkits. There were laughs, a few mishaps, and yes, some literal blood, sweat, and tears (turns out, assembling furniture is a team-building exercise). Every detail mattered. We’re creatives, after all. From the colours on the walls to the curve of the chairs, everything had to be just right. It’s still a work in progress—we’re putting on the final touches, like sprinkles on a cupcake—but walking into our new space feels like a breath of fresh air.
Now, we’ve got a vibrant, on-brand studio where ideas flow as freely as the coffee. A dedicated meeting room where we can dream big with our clients (by appointment only—gotta keep things exclusive). And most importantly, a space where our team can collaborate, innovate, and occasionally debate over the best fuel for brainstorming sessions—whether it’s coffee, snacks, or something else entirely. But this isn’t just about us. It’s about you—our clients, future collaborators, and potential team members. We’re not just building an agency; we’re creating a space where ideas, collaboration, and creativity thrive.
